High Point Golf Club
My name is Chandler Campbell. I am 25 years old and I have lived in Port Jervis my entire life. I am the middle daughter in a large family with 3 brothers and 1 sister. I attended Trinity Catholic Elementary School and graduated from Port Jervis High School. Throughout my formative years I played softball, soccer, and little league—and also was the soapbox derby champion in 2003. I studied urban planning and geography at SUNY’s Oneonta College where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in 2014.
I played on the softball team throughout college as the starting shortstop, juggling in-field hits as well as my academics off the field. Sports and athletics have always been a large part of my life, instilling in me a keen sense of discipline and the importance of teamwork. I was lucky enough to do a semester abroad studying art history in Florence, Italy; studying during the week and jetting around to other European cities on weekends. I fell in love with traveling and have been back to Europe several times over the years.
In my professional life, I found full-time employment following graduation at High Point Golf Club, where I was quickly promoted to assistant general manager. In addition to managing the food and beverage department for the full-service bar and restaurant, I oversee as many as 50 employees as needed for the smooth administration of our many events: from wedding ceremonies to golf outings to fundraising events. On those rare occasions outside of work, you’ll find me hiking, rafting, golfing, snowboarding or otherwise enjoying all the beautiful sights the Hudson Valley has to offer. I am also involved in several benevolent and community organizations which bring me joy giving back to the community that has given me so much. I have recently been accepted into the Leadership Orange program and I am truly looking forward to the experience it has to offer.
