Cornerstone Family Healthcare
Lorine Gilson Horrace is the Vice President of Nursing at Cornerstone Family Health Care, a non-profit community health center with locations throughout Orange, Broome, Rockland, Ulster and Pike County. Lorine is orginially from New Windsor, NY and has been a life-long Orange County resident. Lorine is a graduate of Washingtonville High School and has a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from the University at Albany. It was on a trip to Ireland, where Lorine spent time with a group of nurses, that Lorine realized her passion for health and wellness. Upon her return, Lorine promptly enrolled in the Registered Nursing Progam at SUNY Orange. During the course of her training, Lorine did a brief Commuity Health assignment and discovered her passsion for primary and preventative health care. After graduation, Lorine started employment as a Nurse in Cornerstone Family Health Care’s OB/GYN department. She was drawn to Cornerstone Family Healthcare due to their mission statement which includes providing quality, comprehensive primary and preventative care to patient in an environement that promotes respect and dignity to all. Demonstating leadership skills early on, Lorine was promoted to the departmental lead nurse, Director of Nursing and most recently, Vice President of Nursing. While receiving progressive career responsibliies, Lorine achieved her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from SUNY Delhi. Lorine now leads a clinical team comprised of almost 100 staff with varying discplines including Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Medical Assistants. Lorine enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family, specifically her two neices and nephew, Kylie, Wyatt, and Penelope.
