Bio :

As Issue Leader of the Family & Consumer Sciences team at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County (CCEOC), I work to ensure we are supporting families and individuals with research-based educational opportunities and resources to improve their lives. Additionally, we collaborate with and work to strengthen a network of services supporting families and individuals in the areas of parenting, family life, nutrition and financial management. Prior to joining CCEOC, I worked for many years with young people and families in a variety of programs including education, health promotion, case management and counselling. I hold a bachelor degree in Social Work from NYU and completed my master’s degree in Social Work at Columbia University and Monash University. I have worked with programs locally, in NYC as well as overseas. I lived for fourteen years in Sydney, Australia and was General Manager of a non-profit organization supporting families and young people near Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach. Whilst I love the beaches in Australia, I am pleased to have returned to the Hudson Valley and I enjoy working to strengthen the community in Orange County where I grew up.
